A New Year, A New Genre

2020 is an exciting year for me. I’ve finally figured out how to balance my day job and family life while blocking out time to write. What this means is that I have the time to experiment a bit with my writing while publishing the books that I have planned.

While I’m currently hard at work writing Book 3 of my steampunk series, I was able to pen a short paranormal romance novella, collaborating with a wonderful group of ladies. Our stories are about a group of female dragon shifters from an uncharted island who find love and adventure when they least expect it. It’s part of the Sassy Ever After series in Milly Taiden’s world.

My story, Fire and Sass, will be released later this month. This story is a departure for me. It’s set in a contemporary world, where magic and the paranormal exist together. I had fun writing it, and it’s definitely steamier than my steampunk series. I’m excited and nervous about how it will be received.

I’m also planning my contemporary romance series. I’ve been thinking and plotting these books for a while, but life, and work and these other writing opportunities have made me put them on the back burner. I think 2020 is my goal to have at least the first one of the series published.
